a poster for a magician (or likely a stock poster that could be used by any magician) featuring great colorful artwork of the magician performing various tricks, illusions and feats of prestidigitation. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this German poster! Also note that Adolph Friedlander was a famous German lithographer and a publisher from the 1870s to the 1900s. Working out of Hamburg, Germany, he predominantly printed posters for artists, magicians, and circus and vaudeville performers. He passed away in 1904 at the age of 53.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had minor fold and border wear. Someone decades ago mounted it onto very thin linen with no excess. Since that time, it has acquired a large number of small brown dot stains around the edges, but mostly in the border and blank areas. One could certainly have it removed from the old linen and restored, but please bear this in mind before bidding on this poster.
