An Original Vintage Swiss Movie Program (measures 6" x 9" [15 x 23 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Sumurun (released in the U.S. as "One Arabian Night"), the 1920 Ernst Lubitsch silent German romantic adventure melodrama (about a hunchback clown, played by director Lubitsch himself, traveling in Arabia with a carnival, and they meet a Sheik who demands he be given their beautiful dancing girl, and once she goes with him, the Sheik kills her for being unfaithful, and the clown vows vengeance on the Sheik!) starring Ernst Lubitsch (in his last acting role!), Pola Negri, Paul Wegener (best remembered as the co-director and star of the three German expressionist movies starring "The Golem", which he made in 1915, 1917 and 1920; the Golem is widely regarded as one of the first movie monsters, and likely had a strong influence on American horror movies!), Jenny Hasselqvist, and Aud Egede Nissen NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Swiss program, which is for the Orient Cinema located in Zurich. They did something interesting with their programs. They put a full color "postage stamp-like" stamp in the center of the cover in a box prepared for that, and the 4-page program has information about the movie they were showing on the other pages and the date they were showing it under the image on the cover.
