An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Apur Sansar (released in English-speaking countries as "The World of Apu"), the 1959 Satyajit Ray Indian coming-of-age biographical melodrama sequel starring Soumitra Chatterjee, Sharmila Tagore, Alok Chakravarty, Swapan Mukherjee, and Dhiresh Majumdar. Note that this film is the third in the trilogy of movies based on the novel by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay and Ray's own experiences, the first was "Panther Panchali" in 1955, followed by "Aparajito" and in 1956 and "Apur Sansar" in 1959. There is a circular tear in the center right edge that has been repaired with tape from the back, and there is a faint red stain on back that slightly bleeds through to the front in the upper left of the title area in the image. There are a few creases scattered throughout, some tattering in a few edges, and some minor separation in the upper crossfold, but otherwise the poster is in pretty nice condition!
