Gordon Edwards silent Java religious romantic love triangle melodrama ("Story by Theda Bara"; "A Theda Bara Super Production"; a wonderfully wacky story, written by Bara herself; she is a Javanese girl who becomes a dancer who assists the high priest; but she runs off with a British officer who is a Lord, but she grows tired of life in England, and she leaves her husband and becomes an dancer in an Apache cafe in Paris, doing Javanese dances by a Buddha statue; her distraught English husband shows up and kills himself in her dressing room; she hides his body and has visitors as though nothing has happened, and she goes on stage to perform, and the Buddha statue "comes to life" and kills her, and it turns out it was the high priest, awaiting his revenge on her evil ways!) starring Theda Bara, Victor Kennard, Florence Martin, Tony Merlo, and Jack Ridgeway NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
