He was a problem child whose life was purportedly turned around by healthy food! His show, "The Jack LaLanne Show", which encouraged people to exercise along with him (long before workout videos), ran from 1951 to 1985, and he was one of the first to advocate that people eat healthy foods throughout their life. He performed amazing feats of strength and endurance involving swimming on his birthdays when he was 45, 60, and 70! He passed away in 2011 at the age of 96. Important Added Info: Note that this canceled check has been personally autographed (signed) by Jack LaLanne! Included with the check is a 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" REPRODUCTION photo of LaLanne, and the two could be matted together to create a cool display! Our consignor is a very longtime dealer/collector who acquired this signed item in the 1970s, and kept it in his collection until now, when he is selling parts of his collection. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
