Air France: Great Britain, the 1968 French airplane airline aviation travel poster encouraging people to fly to Great Britain aboard Air France and featuring wild art by Georges Mathieu.

Artist: Georges Mathieu

Important Added Info: Note that this poster is part of an advertising campaign commissioned by Pierre Sautet, Deputy Commercial Director of Air France in 1966. All of the posters were created by Georges Mathieu in "the style of lyrical abstraction". The campaign was such a success that it was first presented in 1967 at the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (Paris Museum of Modern Art), followed by numerous exhibitions worldwide. Our consignor obtained the poster from a relative of an Air France Advertising executive.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. it has a few light creases and some tiny areas of very minor edge wear but otherwise it is in nice condition!
