An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Her Gilded Cage, the 1922 Sam Wood silent romantic mistaken identity stage acting melodrama ("From the play by Anne Nichols"; about a French stage actress whose press agent gives her a notorious past, so that she will be more appealing to fans, but then her straight-laced fiance believes the stories and breaks up with her, but everything works out in the end!) starring Gloria Swanson, David Powell, Anne Cornwall, Charles Stevenson, Walter Hiers, and Harrison Ford (not the same Harrison Ford that we know as an actor today, but a very popular leading man of the 1920s). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that posters from this movie are incredibly rare. We have never before auctioned a single poster from this movie (only stills, lobby cards, and glass slides) until we received this insert! Note that this poster could conceivably be rolled in a tube, but because it is old and somewhat fragile, we intend to send it in a large flat package, and will only send it rolled if the new owner accepts responsibility if it is damaged from being rolled. Please bear this in mind before placing your bid on this rare poster. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It had three pinholes in the top blank border. There was paper loss in the top left corner, caused by rough removal of the pin, and a tear near the middle of the top border that barely extended into the edge of the art. Someone taped a blank piece from another insert to the top left corner and put a piece of tape on the back of the tear in the top border. They also put a piece of tape on the back of three small tears in the lower right border. There are two pinholes in the bottom blank border and a faint tape stain in the blank top right corner. Other than the border defects, the poster is in nice condition, and of course, it was also never folded. It will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall, or certainly, one might choose to have border restoration performed. Learn More about condition grades
