He is best known for his book Sophie's Choice, which was made into a hit movie. Styron passed away in 2006 at the age of 81. Note that our consignor is a very long time collector who purchased this autographed item (and others that we are currently auctioning) from a very reputable autograph dealer years ago. He (and we) feel sure that it is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity.
