This poster had a large blank area in the lower half in which the current films being shown could be added. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a stock poster that RKO used in Australia for 1940s showings of Walt Disney Donald Duck cartoons. RKO would print many copies of this full-color stock cartoon poster, but with a blank title area at the bottom. Then they would have some copies of the full-color poster imprinted with a title from a specific cartoon, and distribute those posters to theaters showing that particular cartoon (in this case, "Trombone Trouble"). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears and some paper loss in the left side, next to the "D" of "DUCK" in the title, and slightly beneath that. There was paper loss in the bottom of the "T" of "TROMBONE" and in the background next to it. There were ink stains in the lower right border, which are probably from some sort of stamp, but could have been a printing defect. The poster had some small tears and tiny paper loss in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
