An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) A Day at the Races, the classic 1937 Sam Wood horse racing sports gambling screwball comedy ("The year's big laugh, music and girl show!") starring the Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, and Harpo Marx), Allan Jones, Maureen O'Sullivan, Margaret Dumont, Esther Muir, Douglass Dumbrille, Sig Ruman, Leonard Ceeley, and Dorothy Dandridge (in an uncredited early role, in a sequence where a large number of young black African American men and women sing with Harpo). Note that this movie includes the classic comedy sequence where Groucho tries to buy a horse racing tip from Chico's Tootsie-Frootsie ice cream cart! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still shows a scene where Chico gives flowers to Maureen O'Sullivan as Groucho looks on. The scene was deleted from the final print of the movie, but oddly, it was this scene that a newspaper chose to use to illustrate the movie that was about to open at their local theater! Condition: fair to good. The still was used in a newspaper or magazine and there are crop marks around the edges and paint enhancements within the image (so it would show up better in the printed article). There is also a faint diagonal scuff line in the upper right that runs through part of Groucho's face, but it is truly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
