In 3 hilarious roles!"; "Based on the book 'Red Alert' by Peter George"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Peter Sellers (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; playing three roles: President Merkin Muffley, Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, and the title role of Dr. Strangelove), George C. Scott (as General Buck Turgidson), Sterling Hayden (as Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper), Keenan Wynn (as Colonel Bat Guano), Slim Pickens (as Major T.J. King Kong; Sellers had originally been cast in this role but trouble with the Texas accent and a broken ankle caused Kubrick to recast), Tracy Reed (billed as "Introducing Tracy Reed as 'Miss Foreign Affairs'"), and Peter Bull (as the Russian Ambassador) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that legend has it that this set from this classic movie was so convincing that when Ronald Reagan was elected President, the first thing he did was ask to be shown the "War Room", and he was very disappointed to learn that there was no such place in reality! Note that this key book still has an extra 1" in the left border with punch holes, which is attached with a perforated linen-like material. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. Sometimes key book stills simply had an extra 1" added, with a perforated linen material, as this one does, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic.
