Date Sold 4/18/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 1 bound volume of all the daily issues published between April 3, 1939 and June 30, 1939. The Film Daily was the daily exhibitor magazine started in 1915 by Wid Gunning (at the time, it was called "Wid's Daily"). It was the number one source of information about the film industry (and later television) until it ceased publication in 1970. It was a must buy for everyone in the film industry. In addition to the daily edition, there was also a larger weekly version. Each issue had lots of statistics about current productions, and also ads as well. Note that many of these issues are just a few pages each and are mostly text, with a few small black & white images. However, some of the issues have great full-color ads from a variety of studios, but mostly MGM and Warner Bros. We have pictured some of the best ads contained in this volume, but realize that there are not a lot of other ads similar to them. Measurements: 9" x 12 1/2"Condition: good to very good. The earliest issues have separated from the binding and there is paper loss at the spine. Otherwise, the issues are in pretty good condition (see our many images).
