2 Original 1939 Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (released in the U.S. in 1939 as "The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"), the 1936 George King English horror thriller starring Tod Slaughter ("Europe's Horror Man"; in the title role as Sweeney Todd), Stella Rho, John Singer, Eve Lister, and Bruce Seton. There had been two silent movies based on this same story (and a play written by George Dibdin-Pitt). Of course, decades later, there was a 1973 play that Stephen Sondheim adapted into the 1979 Broadway musical "Sweeney Todd", which Tim Burton made into a movie in 2007 starring Johnny Depp.

Condition: good to very good. Both cards were folded down the center at one time and that foldline has been reinforced with tape from the back. There are a few small tears and areas of paper loss around the edges of the cards (some repaired with tape from the back). The cards are otherwise in pretty nice condition.
