An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Le Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie (released in the U.S. as "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie"), the classic 1972 Luis Bunuel French/Spanish/Italian political satire comedy starring Fernando Rey, Paul Frankeur, Delphine Seyrig, Bulle Ogier, Stephane Audran, Jean-Pierre Cassel, and Michel Piccoli (billed as "and as guest star Michel Piccoli") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had very minor fold and border wear. The poster was pretty well backed, but there is an odd faint wavy pattern across the upper part of the image (running through the top of the lips) that appears to have occurred after linenbacking (it is not very noticeable or distracting).
