An Original 1972 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55") (Learn More) Les deux Anglaises et le Continent (released in the U.S. in 1972 as "Two English Girls" and as "Two English Girls and the Continent"), the 1971 Francois Truffaut French romantic love triangle melodrama ("Francois Truffant has created a new film masterpiece from the only other novel by the author of 'Jules and Jim'"; "['Les Deux Anglaises Et Le Continent']"; "From the book by Henri-Pierre Roche"; about a young Frenchman who goes to spend the summer at his female friend's house, where she pushes him into a romance with her sister, and he proposes, but the mother wisely insists he go back to France for a year, to determine if their love is real, and during that year, he has many affairs and after six months, he breaks off the engagement, and later he has an affair with his former fiancee's sister) starring Jean-Pierre Leaud, Kika Markham, Stacey Tendeter, Sylvia Marriott, Philippe Leotard, and Marie Mansart NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Rodolfo Gasparri Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and many creases, scuffs, and some tiny tears on parts of some foldlines. There were some smudges and scuffs scattered throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
