Now On The Screen!"; "Based on the play 'Picnic' by William Inge", "Screen play by Daniel Taradash, prize winning screen writer of 'From Here to Eternity'"; "The Pulitzer Prize Play is now a prize picture in CinemaScope and in color by Technicolor"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a drifter coming into a small town to meet with an old frat buddy who also happens to be the son of the richest man in town) starring William Holden, Kim Novak (in her fifth credited movie role!), Betty Field, Susan Strasberg, Cliff Robertson, Rosalind Russell (billed as "co-starring Rosalind Russell as Rosemary"), and Arthur O'Connell (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film)

Important Added Info: A knowledgeable collector tells us that Holden was so nervous about dancing, Joshua Logan sent him off-set to a road house with a choreographer to practice, hoping he would drink enough to calm his nerves. Holden came back to the set drunk but able to do the memorable dance with Novak.

Condition: very good. There are a few faint scuffs in the solid black background. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
