She appeared on TV's "The Merv Griffin Show", TV's "The Bob Braun Show", and TV's "Toast of the Town". She also appeared in three touring Broadway shows: Gypsy, Flower Drum Song, and No, No, Nanette. Arlene passed away in 1990 at the age of 54. Important Added Info: Note that this auction is for a letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Arlene Fontana AND a publicity photo that was also signed by Fontana! This signed letter is one of a group of signed letters that come from the collection of Fred Owesney. He was a dancer on Broadway in the 1950s, and he made friends with a number of celebrities, and he began corresponding with them and for many years, he would correspond with celebrities, often ones that he had seen perform in person. Our consignor does not have a "certificate of authenticity" for this or the other letters from this collection, but we believe it is extremely likely that the signatures on the letters are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
