An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More)

Adam and Eva, the 1923 Robert G. Vignola silent romantic comedy ("From the play by Guy Bolton and George Middleton"; about a rich man who has an incredibly spoiled daughter, and he hates watching her spend money, so he leaves for South America and turns his business over to a young employee; the employee decides to teach the daughter a lesson and tells her that her father went broke, and she moves the family to a farm, where she learns the value of hard work and falls in love with the young employee) starring Marion Davies (in the title role as Eva King), T. Roy Barnes, Tom Lewis, William Norris, and Percy Ames. T. Roy Barnes might have been a forgotten actor today except for one scene he did in a sound film, long after his leading man days were over. He was the insurance man who disturbed W.C. Fields' sleep while looking for Carl LaFong in "It's a Gift"! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see!

Condition: very good.
