An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Horn Blows at Midnight, the 1945 Raoul Walsh romantic fantasy afterlife musical comedy ("VERY FUNNY!!! And these are the girls he gets funny with!"; "[... And the laughs last all day!]"; "Warneriot!!!"; "Based on an idea by Aubrey Wisberg"; "It's all very funny and these girls are the girls he gets funny with!"; "Benny's from Heaven"; "and the Laughs are out of the World!!!"; "This year's Warneriot!!!"; "Based on an Idea by Aubrey Wisberg"; an odd movie about an angel in Heaven who is told that "The Chief" wants to destroy Earth, and he is sent with a trumpet which he will blow at midnight to signify the world is about to end, but then he not only loses the trumpet, but gets stuck on Earth, and there are many farcical subplots) starring Jack Benny, Alexis Smith, Dolores Moran, Allyn Joslyn, Reginald Gardner, Guy Kibbee, John Alexander, and Mike Mazurki. Note that the movie begins in a conventional way with a trumpet player falling asleep and the entire movie is a dream, and at the end of the movie, he wakes up. Apparently, that opening and closing were added at the last minute, because the movie was too weird for preview audiences! Also note that Jack Benny spent the entire rest of his career joking about how awful this movie was, but actually, it is quite entertaining!
