Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Less Than Kin, the 1919 Donald Crisp silent mistaken identity romantic melodrama ("By Alice Duer Miller"; about a man who is accused of a murder he did not commit, and he flees to South America, and amazingly, he meets a man who is the heir to a huge fortune, who looks exactly like him, but the heir left his family a dozen years before for vague reasons!; they become fast friends, but when the rich heir dies, his friend decides to impersonate him, and he does so successfully, until the man's ex-wife shows up, and he fools her too, but when he realizes he loves her, he confesses everything, but it all works out because he is cleared of the murder charge, and he marries his "wife"!) starring Wallace Reid (in a dual role), Ann Little, Raymond Hatton, Noah Beery Sr., and James Neill. Note that it was a pretty common plot device in silent movies to not only have people meet their exact double, but also to then go on to impersonate them. I wonder if this happens much in real life. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in 1919 Paramount (and a few other studios) printed their lobby cards on very thin paper. This was a one-year experiment, and was discontinued afterwards. This is the only case where silent lobby cards are printed on thin paper. The lobby card offered here is on thin paper, but it is definitely an original lobby card. Condition: very good. minor scuffs throughout the image area (more so in the lower right); minor creases around the edges of the card (more so in the left edge of the card); tack hole in each corner as well as one in the lower center with a small tear and creases Learn More about condition grades
