(Learn More) Frank Capra is perhaps the most successful American director of all-time, directing movies from the 1920s to the 1960s, and for a number of years in the 1930s and 1940s, he was the most important person at Columbia Studios, more so than any of their actors. Some of his movies include: Lady for a Day (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), It's a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, It Happened One Night (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Arsenic and Old Lace, Mr. Deeds Goes To Town (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Lost Horizon, You Can't Take It with You, and Meet John Doe. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 94. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Frank Capra! It comes with a candid TV still showing Frank Capra with Ronald Colman and Sam Jaffe drinking bottles of Coke on the set of Lost Horizon! The letter and the still could be matted together and displayed in a frame.
