Forbidden Paradise, the 1924 Ernst Lubitsch silent royalty romantic comedy ("From the play 'The Czarina' by Lajos Biro & Menyhert Lengyel"; about a young man in the court of a mythical European country; he saves the life of the queen, and is rewarded with marrying her, but when she is unfaithful to him, he leads a revolution to depose her, but ultimately, the queen puts down the revolution and spares her husband's life and lets him be with his true love) starring Pola Negri, Rod La Rocque, Adolphe Menjou, Pauline Starke, Fred Malatesta, Nick De Ruiz, Carrie Daumery, and Clark Gable (in one of his 14 uncredited roles prior to making his real debut in 1931's "The Painted Desert"). Note that this movie was remade in 1945 as "A Royal Scandal", which was intended to also be directed by Ernst Lubitsch, but when he became ill, Otto Preminger completed the movie.
