An Original Vintage Tri-Folded Billboard Advertising Poster (measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Permalube Motor Oil, the circa 1950s advertising poster created by Amoco to advertise its Permalube motor oil ("Cleans as it lubricates"; "An American Oil Company Product"; "There's protection for you!"). Note that Amoco (originally part of Standard Oil, which later absorbed the American Oil Company) participated strongly in the war effort during World War II, producing better airplane fuel, and even producing TNT for the government! After World War II, they returned to producing gasoline for cars. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this billboard poster was printed in 15 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. One side of the outer portion of the billboard has paper loss, creases scuff and stains and it is noticeable mostly in the upper left portion of the poster.
