Demetrius and the Gladiators, the 1954 Delmer Daves sword-and-sandal religious Biblical adventure epic sequel ("The continuation of 'The Robe'"; "CinemaScope In The Wonder of High-Fidelity Directional-Stereophonic Sound"; "Based on a character created by Lloyd C. Douglas in 'The Robe'"; "Written by Philip Dunne") starring Victor Mature (in the title role as Demetrius), Susan Hayward, Michael Rennie, Debra Paget, Anne Bancroft, Jay Robinson (as Caligula), Barry Jones, William Marshall, Richard Egan, Ernest Borgnine, Charles Evans, and Mickey Simpson. Note that the year before this movie was released, Richard Burton starred in "The Robe", also based on Lloyd C. Douglas' book, and it proved very successful, and this movie was released the following year, with Victor Mature, Michael Rennie, and Jay Robinson reprising their roles from The Robe, but otherwise with different actors.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has darkened. There are some creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges. Some of the defects at upper right were repaired with tape from the back and colored in. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
