An Original 1935 (from the first release of this movie in France) Vintage Theatrical Folded French Two-Panel "Double Grande" Movie Poster (2p; measures 63" x 90" [160 x 229 cm]; printed in 2 pieces) (Learn More) White Eagle, the 1932 Lambert Hillyer Native American Indian cowboy western ("Redskins - red-blooded courage - and a man who fought for love and honor!"; "A man against cowards-!"; "Indian against pale-face - !") starring Buck Jones, Barbara Weeks, Robert Ellis, Jason Robards Sr., and Ward Bond. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! Note that this French two-panel measures 63" x 90" [160 x 229 cm]. Also note that this French two-panel was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: fair to good. The left panel of the poster has darkened much more than the right panel and the poster has pinholes, tears, and some paper loss around the edges and on parts of the folds and crossfolds (see our image).
