Potter singing-and-dancing musical romantic comedy (a wacky story of a college student who is in his seventh year, so that he can keep up the carefree college life while working in a band, but then he meets a pretty secretary and falls for her, and when she gets a job in Artie Shaw's band, the student quits college and he and his partner go to New York City to try to join Artie Shaw's band, so he can be with the girl!) starring Fred Astaire, Paulette Goddard, Artie Shaw and His Band, Charles Butterworth, and Burgess Meredith. Note that the plot of this movie was pretty weak, obviously just a vehicle to allow for lots of singing and dancing, but it was made even weaker by having 41 year old Fred Astaire playing a college student! But the movie is still enjoyable and entertaining, and the real life Artie Shaw and his band play themselves! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had separation at the foldlines. It had paper loss in the lower right blank border. It had many creases and scuffs scattered in parts of the poster. It had some stains, pinholes, and small tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
