Artist: Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that when Paramount re-released this film in the 1980s, it appears that they simply took a folded first release one-sheet, touched up the foldlines in the art and created a new poster from that. The printed foldlines can still be seen if you know where to look and the artwork is not as crisp as on the first release posters. We don't know why they did this, but perhaps they did not have access to the original printing plates or this was more economical. The lower-border information has been updated which makes it easy to differentiate the re-release poster from the first release. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had pretty minor fold and border wear, with two scratches in the middle right background area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
