Scott (as General Buck Turgidson), Sterling Hayden (as Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper), Keenan Wynn (as Colonel Bat Guano), Slim Pickens (as Major T.J. King Kong; Sellers had originally been cast in this role but trouble with the Texas accent and a broken ankle caused Kubrick to recast), Tracy Reed (billed as "Introducing Tracy Reed as 'Miss Foreign Affairs'"), and Peter Bull (as the Russian Ambassador) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tomi Ungerer Important Added Info: Note that there are two slightly different posters for this classic movie. One has a reddish color for the top title and credits area, and the other has a "neon orange" color in that same area. We know there were two different kinds of one-sheets for this movie because there are some with one litho number and some with another, and yet it does not correlate to the two different colors described above! So we are very confused. The one with the orange color looks like it could be intended to be day-glo. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. light rippling and some discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture; small stains in the black background at lower left; minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the poster (more so along the foldlines); tiny hole in the top and middle crossfolds; some pairs of staple holes and tiny tears around the edges of the poster; This is the type of poster that responds very well to restoration! Its defects are mainly in the borders and blank areas, and after linenbacking by a top professional, this poster will look quite nice, and it will have little restoration anywhere on it!
