An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Cohens and Kellys in Atlantic City, the 1929 William James Craft New Jersey romantic newlywed inter-faith marriage gambling comedy (based on the play 'Two Blocks Away' by Aaron Hoffman; one of the series of seven movies about an Irish girl who marries a Jewish boy and their difficulties in bringing their families together; in this entry, the grown children create very sexy new bathing suits that they sell on the Boardwalk, which shocks both of their families) starring George Sidney, Vera Gordon, Mack Swain, Kate Price, Cornelius Keefe, and Nora Lane. Note that in this movie, Mack Swain played Mr. Kelly, but in the other entries of the series, it was Charles Murray who played that part. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the card had nail holes around the edges of the card and some pinholes, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss as well. Overall, the card was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
