An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Pilot #5, the 1942 George Sidney World War II (WWII) military airplane aviation fighter jet pilot thriller ("Be there when it happens!"; "Original story and screen play by David Hertz") starring Franchot Tone, Marsha Hunt, Gene Kelly, Van Johnson, Alan Baxter, and Dick Simmons. Note that Peter Lawford played an uncredited soldier in this movie, and it is reported that an MGM executive saw a picture of his face, and signed him to a contract on that alone! Also, Marie Windsor has a bit part in this movie, and it has been suggested that Ava Gardner did as well! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and just a few small creases and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with pinholes in the corners.
