Military Service, the 1921 U.S. World War I (WWI) certificate ("Military service is essentially unselfish service. It implies personal hardship, discomfort, inconvenience, financial loss, broken health and many other forms of sacrifice even unto the giving of life itself. So America's soldiers, marines and nurses are most honored of all the people.") given to Larson L. Hathaway by Nebraska Governor Samuel R. McKelvie ,and featuring a gold embossed seal of the state of Nebraska with red, white and blue ribbon, and countersignatures of Darius M. Amsberry, Nebraska Secretary of State and H. J. Gaul, Adjutant General. If anyone knows more about this certificate, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this certificate was signed by then Nebraska Governor Samuel R. McKelvie and countersigned by Darius M. Amsberry, Nebraska Secretary of State and H. J. Gaul, Adjutant General! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. There is a small stain at lower left below the ribbons and there are some smudges and creases scattered throughout.
