eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 4z369 SCREAMING MIMI British quad '58 sexiest Anita Ekberg has suspense around every curve! Date Sold 5/5/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More) Screaming Mimi, the 1958 Gerd Oswald crime film noir murder thriller ("The strip-tease murder case!"; "SUSPENSE... Around every curve!"; "The stripper who went too far... Playing live target for a psycho killer!"; "Tension that's too much to bare!"; "Based on the book by Fredric Brown"; "Screenplay by Robert Blees") starring Anita Ekberg, Philip Carey (billed as "Phil Carey"), Gypsy Rose Lee, Harry Townes, and The Red Norvo Trio. Note that in this movie, Gypsy Rose Lee sings "Put the Blame on Mame", which was originally sung by Rita Hayworth in "Gilda", but which had been subsequently used in at least seven other films! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this British quad was folded vertically three times and horizontally three times (this being folded one time more than is sometimes done, but it is quite common with British quads, especially older ones). Because of this, this quad can be sent in one of our standard size flat packages (but if it is purchased together with quads that have not been folded in the same way, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our tubes if the other quads are unfolded, or, if it is purchased with other quads that are only folded once horizontally than it can either be sent in an oversized flat package, OR in a tube). But if this quad is purchased by itself (or solely with other quads that have been folded the same way), then the shipping can be lower, because it then fits in a standard package. But please realize that because this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time it is likely that the creases have diminished and therefore re-folding the poster will likely bring some of those creases back, but we leave that decision as to whether or not to re-fold the poster up to the individual buyer of this item. UNLESS THE BUYER TELLS US OTHERWISE, THIS QUAD WILL BE SENT ROLLED IN A TUBE. Condition: fair. The top left corner of the poster is completely detached (there is a tear that runs diagonally across Ekberg's face, as clearly seen in our super-sized image). In addition, there are some light brown water stains scattered in Ekberg's face and body. There is no paper loss. The detached piece will be sent together with the poster, and we assume the new owner of the poster will likely have it linenbacked, although they could simply re-attach the detached piece with conservation tape from the back.
