An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) thriller ("The master of suspense brings you his masterpiece!"; "Based on the short story by Cornell Woolrich"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a man who breaks his leg and is forced to stay at his home until he's better; during this time he observes his neighbors and does some voyeuristic detective work) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; as Jeff), Grace Kelly (as Lisa), Wendell Corey (as Detective Lt. Doyle), Thelma Ritter (as Stella), Raymond Burr (as Lars Thorwald), Judith Evelyn (as Miss Lonelyhearts), Georgine Darcy (as Miss Torso), Jesslyn Fax (as Miss Hearing Aid), Rand Harper, Havis Davenport (Harper and Davenport played the "newlyweds"), and Ross Bagdasarian (as the "Songwriter"). Note that Raymond Burr had appeared in movies for seven years before this, but always had minor roles, usually playing the "heavy". Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time. Because the folds are still present, it can either be sent rolled in a tube or re-folded into a flat package, and it will not hurt it to be folded again (but we will leave it to the new owner to decide how they want it sent). Condition: very good. The poster has scattered fine surface paper loss on the top foldline, with a lesser amount on the middle foldline. There is a pinhole in the right of the bottom foldline, with 1/2" of separation at the right end of the bottom foldline and 1" of separation at the right end of the top foldline. There is a 1/2" tear near the middle of the right border and several small tears and tiny paper loss in the bottom border. There was a 2" tear in the left border 3" above the middle of the poster, and someone put a piece of brown paper tape on the back of that area. The poster has a tiny pinhole in the top center of the image. All of the above are basically pretty minor defects and the poster displays nicely as it is, and certainly, it could be backed and have restoration performed to the above defects, and it would display perfectly!
