An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12 3/4" x 16 1/4" [32 x 41 cm]; 12 pages) (Learn More) Morituri (also released as "The Saboteur Code Name - 'Morituri'"), the 1965 Bernhard Wicki World War II (WWII) military spy espionage adventure ("Morituri must mean something unusual..."; "A daring master spy... a case-hardened Nazi captain... a girl who despised them both, but offered herself so they could live."; "World War II, Espionage, Adventure, and Human Lives Have Never Before Been Combined so Explosively!"; "In its mighty themes... In the clash of its giants among men, it is one of the most powerful adventures of World War II!"; "...now all the raw fury of World War II compressed into this one ship... these two foes... this unique motion picture!"; "'Morituri' means something unusual..."; "Screenplay by Daniel Taradash") starring Marlon Brando, Yul Brynner, Janet Margolin, Trevor Howard (billed as "Guest Star Trevor Howard as Colonel Statter"), and Wally Cox. Note that when this movie was release it was titled "Morituri," however, the movie bombed because many people misunderstood the title, thinking that it was some sort of horror-type movie instead of the spy drama that it was. The movie was re-released featuring the new title "The Saboteur: Code Name,'Morituri'," but it was too late and the movie bombed again anyway! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of a two-page spread from inside of the pressbook (we do NOT picture any supplements or heralds, if there are any included with this pressbook), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. Learn More about condition grades
