An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Sheet Music (measures 9" x 12"; 4 pages) (Learn More)

Sign of the Ram, the 1948 John Sturges handicap wheelchair family relationship melodrama ("SHOCKING... What this woman dared for love!"; "Based upon the novel by Margaret Ferguson"; "Susan Peters returns to the screen with a distinguished co-starring cast in a powerful emotional drama!"; about the female head of an English family who is confined to a wheelchair, and she uses her handicap to manipulate and ruin the lives of everyone around her!) starring Susan Peters, Alexander Knox, Phyllis Thaxter, Peggy Ann Garner, Ron Randell, Dame May Whitty, and Allene Roberts. Note that Susan Peters was one of the most tragic, yet oddly forgotten, stories of Hollywood female stars who rise and fall in a short time. She was one of MGM's most promising young female stars in 1943, and she married actor Richard Quine, but in 1945, she was wounded in a hunting accident, and she became paralyzed from the waist down. She appeared in this movie as a wheelchair-bound actress, but without much success (1948 audiences were not very understanding about disabilities), and tragically, she divorced and starved herself to death, dying in 1952 at the age of 31.
