An epistolary novel, the narrative is related through letters, diary entries, and newspaper articles. Dracula is one of the most famous pieces of English literature. Many of the book's characters have entered popular culture as archetypal versions of their characters; for example, Count Dracula as the quintessential vampire, and Abraham Van Helsing as an iconic vampire hunter. The novel, which is in the public domain, has been adapted for film over 30 times, and its characters have made numerous appearances in virtually all media. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this book! Note that this book is an Armed Services Edition. This nonprofit was established in 1942 and the books were carefully designed for portability and readability. Their unusual shape is the result of them being bound on the short side so they could be printed economically. A committee selected the books with recreational reading as the first goal, and contemporary fiction was most popular as service members could share their enjoyment with families back home who were reading the same books. Finally, note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.
