Date Sold 7/9/2023 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 50 8" x 10" negatives and test photos from The Sid Caesar Show, the 1963 - 1964 comedy sketch variety television (TV) series starring Sid Caesar, Joey Forman, Gisele MacKenzie, Marilyn Hanold, Bea Arthur and more. This was a legendary early TV comedy show that had a massive influence on all TV comedy that followed it. Not only was this because of the structure of the show, but also because of the legendary talent connected with it, not just the actors, a few of whom are listed above, but also because of the writers, who went on to unbelievably successful careers, including Mel Brooks, Larry Gelbart, Carl Reiner, Neil Simon, Woody Allen, Aaron Ruben, and Howard Morris (who was Ernest T. Bass on The Andy Griffith Show, but who also was an important writer on that show). Note that the items in this lot are from the 1960s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. However, unlike in our auction of negatives, we did NOT create positive images of these negatives, so the buyer of this lot will have to do that for themselves. Measurements: 8" x 10"Condition: good to very good. Each has some dust, light scratches and other minor flaws that could easily be cleaned before printing or retouched after scanning.
