An Original Vintage Gag Book (measures 5" x 7 1/2"; 330 pages) (Learn More) What to Do When You're in the Draft, the 1941 gag book ("By O.N. Looker"). We have seen several gag books like this over the years, but this is the earliest. Someone took a bunch of books that hadn't sold (in this case, a junior high school English book) and they then hollowed out the insides of all the pages, creating an inner cavity, and they glued a page to the inside back cover, which has a color image of soldiers staring at a scantily clad woman, and a tiny pair of women's panties has been attached to that area! A faux cover has been glued over the front of the regular hardcover. This would be given as a gag gift to a friend who had just been drafted into World War II. Condition: very good.
