His works typically feature solitary protagonists encumbered with strained sexual relations. In the early 1950s he had a string of memorable Broadway productions, including Picnic, which earned him a Pulitzer Prize. Some of his movies include: Splendor in the Grass, Bus Stop and Bus Riley's Back in Town. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 60. Our consignor obtained this signed item from the man who owned Matinee Idol in Hollywood. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to surely be authentic.
