An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More)

Captain Carey, U.S.A. (released in other English-speaking countries as "After Midnight" and in some countries simply as "Captain"), the 1950 Mitchell Leisen World War II (WWII) Italy military betrayal melodrama ("LADD's in action... In the war-torn Mediterranean!"; "LADD...in Hand-to-Hand combat...in the war torn Mediterranean!"; based on the novel by Martha Albrand) starring Alan Ladd (in the title role "as Captain Carey, U.S.A."), Wanda Hendrix, Francis Lederer, Joseph Calleia, and Celia Lovsky. It is interesting to note that this movie included the classic song "Mona Lisa", which won the Academy Award for Best Song, and that may be the single most remembered fact about this movie!

Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43" and is folded.

Condition: good. paper loss, tears, and tattering around the edges of the poster (see the image at right); poster has darkened somewhat (as is common with older Argentinean posters); approximately 1 1/2" of each edge folded back at one time; creases and tears along the foldlines (including a 3" tear in Ladd's cheek at right) from the poster being folded off-center as well as creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout; many tack holes scattered throughout the poster (some torn from rough removal); pencil writing on the back that does not appear to have any effect on the front
