Artist: Mario Piovano Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and that was 15 years ago! Also note that William Holden's star had considerably risen in the 1960s, and obviously, Gloria Swanson was pretty much forgotten in Italy at that time, because the poster for this 1966 Italian re-release not only solely shows William Holden, but he is billed above the title, and Gloria Swanson receives equal billing to Nancy Olson (and poor Erich von Stroheim is not billed at all, while then-current stars Jack Webb, incorrectly billed as "Weeb", and Fred Clark were given equal billing to Olson and Swanson). Note that this Italian two-panel measures 55" x 78 1/2" [140 x 199 cm]. Also note that this Italian two-panel was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: very good.
