Some of his movies include: Lady for a Day (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), It's a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, It Happened One Night (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Arsenic and Old Lace, Mr. Deeds Goes To Town (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Lost Horizon, You Can't Take It with You, and Meet John Doe AND Irvin S. Cobb was a Kentucky actor/writer/humorist from the 1910s to the 1950s. He was known as "The Duke of Paducah" and some of his movies include: Steamboat Round the Bend, The Young in Heart, Judge Priest, The Sun Shines Bright, and The Woman Accused. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" [11 x 17 cm]. It has a stamp from Italy on the back, but it is a U.S. still that was distributed all over the world (it was news everywhere when "It Happened One Night" swept the Oscars). Condition: very good.
