Magnetic. Charming!"; "Paramount Talking Picture"; based on the play by George Middleton & A.E. Thomas; about a wealthy American chewing gum manufacturer and his beautiful daughter, and they visit France, where she falls in love with a dashing tour guide, and she tries to convince her father to let her bring him back to the U.S. and work in the factory!) starring Maurice Chevalier (billed as "The star of 'The Love Parade' and 'Innocents of Paris'"; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Claudette Colbert, George Barbier, Marion Ballou, Andree Corday, and Frank Lyon. Note that this is the first of Chevalier's films to have both a French and English version. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that lobby cards from this movie are extremely rare. We have never before auctioned a single lobby card from this movie! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There are smudges around the edges, with a 1/2" tear in the right border, and a faint stain in the top right blank corner.
