An unforgettable film of the French Revolution"; "An entirely new motion picture of Charles Dickens' immortal masterpiece"; based on the novel by Charles Dickens) starring Dirk Bogarde (as Sydney Carton), Dorothy Tutin (as Lucie Manette), Cecil Parker (as Jarvis Lorry), Stephen Murray (as Dr. Manette), Paul Guers (as Charles Darnay), Rosalie Crutchley (as Madame Defarge), and Christopher Lee (as Marquis St. Evremonde). Note that there was an earlier version of this movie produced by MGM in 1935 starring Ronald Colman
