If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the vast majority of commercial posters from the 1960s were sold in very large numbers, and while they can be difficult to find decades later, they can almost never be described as rare. But this particular commercial poster actually is "rare" because it was recalled due to legal/licensing issues at that time. We have seen dealers asking thousands of dollars for this commercial poster (the only time we have auctioned it was in May of 2012, when we auctioned an example with significant border defects, and it sold for $1,470!). Finally, note that this poster was produced by Personality Posters, a company from the 1960s to the 1970s who created commercial posters for sale to the public. The posters featured popular celebrities, cultural icons, movie stars, artwork, political statements, and more. As the posters were mainly used for decoration (often by high school or college students), it is rare to find them in good condition in modern times. Condition: good. There are light brown dot stains throughout the poster from exposure to moisture and there are some water stains down the right edge. There are horizontal creases scattered throughout the poster from it being somewhat flattened while rolled and there are some creases and scuffs throughout (more so at upper left). There are a few tack holes and small areas of paper loss in the corners of the poster. It would seem likely that some or most of the staining can be removed through chemical means, and certainly, the creases will mostly disappear during the linenbacking process, so it is likely that this poster can be restored and look great without having a lot of paint restoration in the poster. But please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
