Edward Sutherland all-star screwball television comedy ("A mad revelry of mirth!"; about a Chinese inventor who has made a new device which is called a radio-scope, but is clearly a television, and it doesn't need to be broadcasted, and he invites representatives of major U.S. companies to visit him in China, and he will pick the one he likes the best to have the exclusive rights to his invention, and the whole framing story is just an excuse to bring a group of legendary comedians into a single movie) starring Peggy Hopkins Joyce, W.C. Fields, Rudy Vallee, Stuart Erwin, George Burns, Gracie Allen (Burns & Allen; in their second movie role!), Col. Stoopnagle & Budd, Cab Calloway and His Orchestra, and Lona Andre NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this great individual still (and a number of others, both singles and sets) come from a recently discovered collection of mostly 1930s stills (but with some from the 1920s, and some from the 1940s and 1950s) that came from the estate of a longtime journalist who wrote about these movies and visited the sets of many movies and were given these stills at that time. They are all rare original stills from the first release of the movies, and some have cool candid images. We auctioned a similar group of stills from this wonderful collection in our auctions that closed April 12, 2022, and now we are auctioning almost all of the remaining stills from this collection (in singles and sets, just as they were last time). After this set of auctions, there will be only a handful left from this collection, so this is pretty much your last opportunity to acquire these extremely rare stills, including some from movies you almost never see anything from! Condition: good to very good. There are faint scuffs in the center of the image (mostly over the "BRAINS" syringe), but they are only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
