An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Boston Blackie's Chinese Venture (released in England as "Chinese Adventure"), the 1949 Seymour Friedman Massachusetts Chinatown detective crime mystery thriller ("A package of tea brews MURDER!"; "Murder in Chinatown!"; "Blackie catches a red-head red-handed!"; the last entry in this long-running, extremely popular series) starring Chester Morris (in the title role as Boston Blackie), Maylia, Richard Lane, Don McGuire, Joan Woodbury, Benson Fong, Phillip Ahs, Sid Tomack, Frank Sully, and Charles Arnt. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle. There is tiny separation and paper loss in the two lower crossfolds. There are two areas of minor discoloration at upper center and lower center in the vertical foldline. The discoloration at lower center is difficult to see in the dark background, however it is slightly more noticeable in the edge of the "B" in "BLACKIE'S". It is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
