An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Big Doll House, the 1971 Jack Hill Filipino/U.S. sexploitation crime action thriller ("White skin on the black market"; "They caged their bodies but not their desires"; "The dirty dolls of Devil's Island. You can meet them for a price!"; "Their bodies were caged, but not their desires."; "Soft Young girls behind hard prison bars ... They would do anything for a man - or to him!"; "Boiling passions confined behind concrete walls. Naked lust that builds to a climax of death"; produced by Roger Corman) starring Judy Brown, Roberta Collins, Pam Grier, Brooke Mills, Pat Woodell, and Sid Haig. Note that this movie has sometimes incorrectly been identified as being the same movie as "Women in Cages". It is NOT! After classic B-movie director Jack Hill finished making "The Big Doll House", the lead actresses were hired to play in a very similar movie ("Women in Cages") that was released the same year (basically an attempt to cash in on the better movie's success). These similarities have resulted in the two movies being confused (and it doesn't help that Jack Hill made a similar film with some of the same actor in different roles called "The Big Bird Cage" in 1972), but we are glad for the chance to set the record straight!

Important Added Info:

Note that in recent months we auctioned a collection of sexploitation one-sheets that included many rare titles from a single collector, and we recently auctioned the last of that collection. NOW, we have been consigned a different collection which includes even more very rarely seen titles! In recent sets of auctions we auctioned groups of one-sheets from this new collection, and this month there are 144 different ones (all are in separate auctions), and they include a number of posters that we have only auctioned once or twice before. There are also a number with great images or taglines. This is an excellent opportunity to add one or more of these rare one-sheets to your collection, and, like the previous collection we auctioned, this consignor also only had one of each title, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again!

Condition: good to very good. The poster has very light horizontal creases scattered in various areas. It is otherwise in generally nice condition.
