A 1925 Re-Release Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

the 1925 re-edited version (with new scenes, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Little Big Horn) of Custer's Last Fight, the 1912 Thomas Ince silent cowboy western ("The Big, New, and Only Original Frontier Spectacle of the Celebrated Battle of Little Big Horn"; "The Battle of No Survivors"; "Educational - Every School Boy and Girl Should See It"; "A Picture All Should See - Man, Woman, and Child"; "On The Screen In Its Full Glory!"; "Stupendous Colossal Gigantic"; "A picture that 'hews to the line,' letting the chips fall where they may"; "The Greatest Wild West Feature Ever Filmed"; "Coming!! The Mighty Epic Spectacle of the Old-Time West"; "Coming!"; "Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Battle at Little Big Horn"; "The greatest Indian frontier spectacle ever shown"; "Dedicated to the Spirit of the American Pioneer"; "Famous Indian Uprising in 1876 Under the Bloodthirsty Sitting BullL"; "Taken in the Black Hills. Over a Year in the Making") starring Francis Ford (in the title role as General George Armstrong Custer), Grace Cunard, Charles K. French, William Eagle Shirt, and J. Barney Sherry. In 1925 (just ahead of the 50th Anniversary of the Massacre at the Little Big Horn, known as "Custer's Last Stand"), the original movie was re-cut and some new footage was shot and the movie was re-presented with all new posters and lobby cards. I have never seen or heard of ANY 1912 movie paper item of any sort from this movie, so items from the 1925 re-edited version are the only option if one wants to get something from this movie!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: fair to good. There is some light water staining scattered throughout the poster. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. This is the sort of poster that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the water staining can be removed through chemical means, after which the poster will look fantastic (although I think most collectors could happily display this great poster on their wall just as it is).
