An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Doctor, the 1964 William Martin medical doctor hospital boxing scandal melodrama ("The Most Controversial Subject of Our Time! The sex scandal that rocked the world!"; "He could fill mankind's most stimulating prescription!"; based on the real-life English John Profumo/Christine Keeler political sex scandal, focusing on Dr. Stephen Ward, the real life doctor who was the procurer of the women) starring Mark O'Daniels, Anne Hutchison, Lorraine Rogers, Lon Clark, Rocky Graziano (billed as "Rocky 'Somebody Up There Likes Him' Graziano"), "and Special Guest Stars" Jake La Motta, Barney Ross, and Pete Scalzo. Note that we can find no information about this movie whatsoever! It seems that it was first released in 1964 under the title "The Doctor", and was re-released in 1967 as "The Doctor and the Playgirl", and that it was also released at some time as "The Dr. Ward Story". It features four famous guest stars who were all champion boxers, so we would think there must have been a major boxing subplot, which seems in no way connected to the political sex scandal, and the poster we have seen gives no indication of that. If anyone knows anything about the boxing connection to this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
